Building a community of Design Thinkers in a big organization

Since 2016 we have been working on an innovation initiative at P&G in Germany. 

The challenge

How can we inspire and encourage more and more people to work with Design Thinking?

The approach

We kicked off our journey by inviting everyone to the 'Innovation Games'. In total, 75 people got together in small groups to epxerience a fun Design Thinking session. They worked on three actuall business cases from P&G  and developed 15 prototypes. 

The people who got excited about working with Design Thinking, joined our Design Thinking Daily training. They learned how to use the methods in their day-to-day work, becoming fully equipped Design Thinking ambassadors who now pass on their knowledge by integrating desing-thinking tools in regular meetings. 

The Innovation Games became a regular event at P&G to find more people who want to dive deeper into Design Thinking methods and explore their creative confidence. 

At P&G there is now a real community of innovation enthusiasts who take part in the regular Innovation Sprints we facilitate to bring new ideas to life.
